Drop lowest scores

Updated 29 Jan 2024

You can drop students' lowest scores for any Gradebook category, including custom categories. You can drop up to five scores for each category.

Student results at the time are used to determine which scores to drop. Future scores are not evaluated until you drop lowest scores again. If you drop lowest scores more than once, previously dropped scores that are no longer the lowest are restored.

Learning Catalytics results are not evaluated when you drop lowest scores. Use the Learning Catalytics application to change scores for these assignments.

To drop lowest scores:

  1. In the Gradebook, select More Tools > Drop Lowest Scores.
  2. For any category, select the number of scores to drop.

On student Results pages, low score appears for in place of each dropped score.
