Upload documents for sharing

In some courses, instructors and section instructors can use the Document Sharing tool to upload and share documents, presentations, audio/video files with the class. The uploaded files are stored in folders you set up.

Class participants can then download the files you uploaded or upload their own documents to share.

  • No special characters in file names — A message lets you know if a file or folder name contains any special characters, such as & $ % # @ * ( ).
  • Keep file names unique — If you plan to link to uploaded shared documents, do not upload the same file name more than once within a course. Delete the old one before uploading a file with the same name.
  • File size — To ensure that a file uploads successfully, limit the size to 100 MB. For files larger than 100 MB, you can add a link to it on a content page.
