Viewing Resource Details
You can view the details of a resource by double-clicking any item in the results area or My Collections and displaying a details window. The details window shows information about the resource. You can also view images and videos, zoom in and out on images, or display images and videos full screen.
When a resource cannot be viewed, a button is provided for you to open it in another browser window. Depending on the item you may need an additional plug-in (for example, Windows Media Player) or application (for example, Microsoft Word) to view the resource.
At the bottom of the window, information about the resource appears. This information can include:
- The resource's average rating and an area to assign a personal rating to the item.
- Buttons to:
- Add it in a My Collections folder
- Download it to your computer if you have rights to do so; if you do not, this button is grayed out (disabled)
- Tabs to:
- View a detailed description of the resource
- View and add comments about the resource
- View and add tags to the resource
- View and add annotations to the resource (available from My Collections only)
- The resource's file type
To view a resource's details:
Complete one of the following steps:
- Double-click the resource in the results area.
- Right-click the resource and select View from the context menu.
- Click the View this resource button that appears when the mouse pointer hovers over a resource.
To close the details window:
Press the Esc key or click the Close button in the upper right corner of the window.
