Viewing Resource Details

You can view the details of a resource by double-clicking any item in the results area or My Collections and displaying a details window. The details window shows information about the resource. You can also view images and videos, zoom in and out on images, or display images and videos full screen.

When a resource cannot be viewed, a button is provided for you to open it in another browser window. Depending on the item you may need an additional plug-in (for example, Windows Media Player) or application (for example, Microsoft Word) to view the resource.

At the bottom of the window, information about the resource appears. This information can include:

• The resource's average rating and an area to assign a personal rating to the item.

• The resource's file type

To view a resource's details:

Complete one of the following steps:

To close the details window:

Press the Esc key or click the Close button in the upper right corner of the window.

Working with Images

To zoom in and out on an image:

Click the Zoom in button to enlarge the image; click the Zoom out button to shrink the image.

To display an image full screen:

Click the Full Screen button. The image appears full screen and hides the resource's detail window.

To exit from the full screen, click the Esc key or click the Full Screen button again.

Note: You can zoom in and out on an image even when the image is displayed full screen.

To reset the magnification of the image:

Click the Reset button.

Note: The Reset button restores the default magnification of the image depending on the view you started from. For example, resetting the magnification when displaying the image full screen does not exit from the full screen view; it just resets the magnification of the full screen view.
