Edit assignment category settings
Updated 29 Aug 2024
A category is a collection of default grading, presentation, and security settings that can be applied to assignments of the same type. For standard assignments, Mastering provides the Homework, Quiz, and Test categories. You can create new categories with different settings, or you can edit a category to change its settings.
Important: Changes you make to category settings are not automatically applied to existing assignments in the category. To apply updated settings to an existing assignment, you must edit the assignment.
