Configure WriteClick

You can change the WriteClick settings to control the display of its hover icon, to specify a different shortcut key, and to have WriteClick check your email. (The email check works with Microsoft® Office Outlook® 2000 and higher.)

To configure WriteClick:

  1. Do one of the following:
  2. Click Settings at the top of the WriteClick window.
  3. Specify the following on the General tab:

    Enable the WriteClick Everywhere floating button: Select this option to have WriteClick display its hover icon when you start to type in any application.

    Load WriteClick on startup: Select this option to have WriteClick automatically start when you start your computer. (The alternative to automatic startup is to manually launch WriteClick using the Start menu.)

    Enable WriteClick Email Check: Select this option to have WriteClick automatically check your email when you click the Send button. You can then choose to make the corrections or send the email as is. (The email check works with Microsoft Office Outlook 2000 and higher.)

  4. (Optional) Click the Shortcut Keys tab to specify a different shortcut key or a key and mouse-click combination.
  5. Click Save to save your configuration.
  6. Restart WriteClick if you enabled the option to check your email.

    To restart it, either click the WriteClick icon WriteClick Click F2 inside any text box in your computer's system tray or use the Start menu and choose the Programs – WriteClick – Launch WriteClick command.
