Complete the setup of a copied or linked course

Now that you have copied or linked to another course, when you enter the new course you need to do the following to finish its setup:

Check the Assignments Requiring Additional Setup folder (on the Assignments page) for any assignments copied from the original course. At a minimum you need to activate these assignments. You may also need to edit them to set their due dates and create groups for collaboration and peer-review assignments. After you activate these assignments, the MyLab moves them into the Current Assignments folder.

For a peer-review assignment, make sure to activate and set the due date of the base assignment first, then activate and set the due date of the peer-review assignment. (You cannot complete the edit of a peer-review assignment before setting up the base assignment.) For more information on a base assignment, see Best Practices for Creating a Peer-Review Assignment.

Check the due dates of any required Resources; you may want to change existing dates or add new dates.

The quickest way to view a complete list of required topics and assets is to switch to student view, go to the To Do page, and expand My Study Plan. The Study Plan lists all required topics and assets.

Review any copied announcements. You may want to edit and change the order in which they are listed or possibly hide some that you will want to display later in the class.
