Hide Resources from students

Hiding a Resource topic or asset removes it from the student Resources. Hiding an asset is particularly useful if it is too basic or advanced for your course. When you hide all assets for a topic, the topic is hidden from students.

You cannot hide an asset that you have required. You also cannot hide all the assets for a topic if you have required any one of them. In both cases, you must first remove the asset from the required state, then you can hide it.

Use these procedures to hide a topic asset, hide a topic, and redisplay hidden assets. Click a link to display the procedure's steps.

To hide an asset

1. Display the topic's assets.
2. Point to the asset that you want to hide to display its button pop-up.

   

3. Click the Hide? button.

   The MyLab displays Hidden in the asset's Hide/Show column and removes the asset from the student Resources.

To hide a topic

1. Display the topic's assets.
2. Point to All assets in topic title (at the top of the asset list) to display its button pop-up.

   

3. Click the Hide All? button.

   The MyLab hides the topic from your students.

To redisplay a hidden asset or topic

1. Display the topic's assets.
2. Do one of the following to display the button pop-up:
   • To redisplay a hidden asset, point to the asset.
   • To redisplay a hidden topic, point to All assets in topic title (at the top of the asset list).
3. Click the Show? or Show All? button.

The MyLab displays the asset or topic in the student Resources.
