Diagnostic assignments

1. Open the assignment and click the exercise you want to start in the Review Assignment Details window.

   The first question is displayed.

2. Select an answer and click the Submit button to go on to the next question.

   To stop the exercise and continue it later, click the Stop to Resume Later button. Then, when you are ready, reopen the assignment and click the exercise's link to complete it.

After you submit the last answer, the MyLab displays your results. This screen lists the Topics covered by the diagnostic exercise and shows your Score for each topic. While you are viewing this screen, you can:

• Click a Topic link to go to that topic in Resources.
• Click a Review link to display the topic's diagnostic questions, your answers, and whether your answers were correct or incorrect.

The MyLab lists any Resource topics that will help you improve your skills in My Study Plan on the To Do page.

Use this procedure if you closed the diagnostics results grid and want to redisplay it.

1. Click the To Do tab.
2. Locate the assignment under Due or Completed.
3. Click the assignment's title to open the assignment details window.
4. Click the exercise's score in the Results column.

   

   The results are displayed in a separate window.

When setting up the assignment, your instructor specifies how many times, if any, you can retake an exercise. You cannot retake an exercise after the assignment's due date and time.

1. Click the To Do tab.
2. Expand the list of Due or Completed assignments.

   Depending on whether you have completed some or all of the assignment's exercises, it is listed in the Due or Completed list, respectively.

3. Click the assignment's title to open the assignment details window.
4. Click the exercise's title in the details window.

   The MyLab displays a message asking if you want to try the exercise again. If you do not see this message, you cannot retake the exercise.

5. Click Cancel if you want to keep your current results; click OK to delete your current results and retake the exercise.

   If the assignment was in the Completed list in step 2 and you stopped part way through the diagnostic exercise, the MyLab moves the assignment to the Due list.
