Receiving Quiz Results from Students
As students complete quizzes in a Companion Website, you will want to request that they send results to a specific email address, and in a specific format. Students set both your email address and the quiz result format each time they take a quiz or when they create a profile.
Students can send you quiz results in any of the following formats:
- As plain text in the body of an email message
- As HTML in the body of an email message
- As an attachment to an email message
- As an HTML attachment to an email message
Receiving results as HTML is preferable to receiving text because images in the quiz questions and in the reported quiz results will be included in the email. If you are not certain which format you can receive, you can test them by taking a sample quiz and sending yourself the results in the available formats.
Quiz results sometimes treated as spam
As the problem of email spam has grown, many network administrators and Internet Service Providers have installed spam-blocking programs that filter out email that looks like it could be spam. These spam blockers sometimes treat the email messages used to send quiz results as spam. For more information, see Spam blockers may block quiz results.
