Create graphs for math courses
Updated 28 Aug 2023
You can create Cartesian graphs using any combination of four types of plots: functions, parametric equations, linear equations, and points. You can also shade one or more regions on the graph. In addition, you can fully customize each graph's title, size, axis limits and labels, and tick-mark scaling.
This graphing tool is available only in math and economics courses.
Students cannot interact with graphs that you create in the Custom Question Builder.
To create a graph:
- In the question-and-answer area of the Custom Question Builder, position the cursor where you want to add a graph.
- Click Graph in the left menu.
- Use the Edit Graph window to format your graph. See Use the Edit Graph window for details.
- Click Save to insert your graph into your question.
To edit a graph, double-click it in the question-and-answer area. The Edit Graph window appears and you can make your changes. You can also right-click on the graph and select Editing Options > Edit Object.
See Use a graph in a math question for an example of how to create a graph.
