Create or customize questions

You can create short answer, multiple choice, or true/false questions and choose whether to use algorithmic or static values.

1. Open the Assignment Manager:

   • In the new Assignment Manager, select Create > Create questions.

   • In the classic Assignment Manager, select Create Assignment > Create Custom Question or More Tools > Manage Custom Questions.

2. Use the Custom Question Manager to create a new question or choose a publisher question to edit.

You can edit the text and some of the values in questions provided by Pearson.

When you edit a question, the question help and review-only information are no longer available to students.

To edit questions from the player:

1. In the Assignment Manager, create an assignment.
2. On Step 2 of the New Assignment wizard, select the question that you want to edit from the Available Questions or My Selections list.
3. Select Preview and Add to open the Preview window.
4. Select Copy and Edit at the bottom of the Preview window to open the question in the Custom Question Builder editor.
5. Edit your question and then select Save and Exit to name your copy of the question and save it.

You also can edit questions using the Copy and edit a question from your online course option in the Custom Question Manager.
