Create or customize questions

You can use the Custom Question Builder (CQB) to edit publisher questions or create your own questions.
The first time you access the CQB, you are prompted to install it. See:
You can edit the text and some of the values in questions provided by Pearson.
When you edit a question, the question help and review-only information are no longer available to students.
To edit questions from the player:
- In the Test Manager, create an assignment.
- In Step 2, select the question that you want to edit from the Available Questions or My Selections list.
- Select Preview and Add to open the Preview window.
- Select Copy and Edit at the bottom of the Preview window to open the question in the Custom Question Builder editor.
- Edit your question and then select Save and Exit to name your copy of the question and save it.

You also can edit questions using the Copy and edit a question from your online course option in the Custom Question Manager.
You can create short answer, multiple choice, or true/false questions and choose whether to use algorithmic or static values.
- From the Test Manager, select Create Assignment > Create Custom Question or More Tools > Manage Custom Questions.
- Use the Custom Question Manager to create a new question or choose a publisher question to edit.
