Troubleshooting: Open Pearson
Try refreshing the page or closing and then re-opening the browser tab. If that doesn't work, look over the information below.
See the 3PLNG support article.
See the SOCKET support article.
Select forgot username or password to get an email with your username and a link to reset your password. Enable cookies or delete browser cached files.
If you close the browser window or tab to cancel linking accounts, a message says your Pearson account isn't linked. Go back to your LMS course and open Pearson.
Allow cookies if you're using Safari and then open Pearson.
Close the applicable windows or tabs and return to your LMS. Next, open Pearson.
If you're using Safari, see asked to link accounts multiple times.
Otherwise, return to your LMS course and choose to:
- Sign out of your LMS and sign in with a different account.
- Open Pearson to sign in with a different Pearson account, or create a new account.
- Have Pearson Support unlink your accounts.
Close the browser and start again. Always sign out of Pearson.
You copied an LMS course from another instructor and got this message.
Select the browser back button to return to your LMS. Set up your course and try again.
Revel and eText and Access Pearson integrations: Add the Revel and eText or Access Pearson link.
Barnes & Noble, Follett-Willo, RedShelf, or VitalSource: If you're using a one of these integration, such as VitalSource, RedShelf, or Barnes & Noble, contact your system administrator to check your institution's setup.
The association between your Revel or eText content and LMS course was removed. Add or copy content again.
Open your Revel or eText content to finish associating it. If you still have trouble, contact Pearson Support. Give them the text or screenshot of the error message and diagnostics.
There might be an issue with the Pearson account you linked to your LMS account. Please contact Pearson Support. Give them the text or screenshot of the error message, diagnostics, and the username of the Pearson account you previously linked.
Remove unsupported characters from the section title and code settings of your LMS course. If you use the Revel and eText or Pearson integration with seamless access and switch learning management systems, add new Revel or eText content. Don't copy content from one learning management system to another because seamless access doesn't transfer.
Your browser might not be supported. Open Help from your Revel and eText content to see which browsers to use.
The Revel and eText integration doesn't support links to specific Revel or eText assignments. Only the Access Pearson integration supports assignment and course tool links.
You see the Pearson Sign In page if there's a broken web link to Revel and eText or Pearson in a content area. This might happen if you copy and modify a Revel and eText or Pearson link.
Instead of creating a web link, add the Revel and eText or Pearson link from the Content Market. Check that your web links go to the right place.
Blackboard Original: Confirm the following:
- Your Blackboard system administrator enabled Content Market Tools and Pearson as a partner.
- You added or copied Revel or eText content that's available from a link in the content area of your Blackboard course.
Blackboard Ultra: Confirm you made your course visible to students.
Depending on your Blackboard version, you might need to make tools available to students. See Blackboard Help for instructions.
