Prepare your LMS course

Add the Revel and eText or Access Pearson link if you don't see it in your course and it's required for your integration.
Transitioning your integration from LTI 1.1 to LTI 1.3? If you're transitioning your course from the Revel and eText (LTI 1.1) integration to the Access Pearson (LTI 1.3) integration, you'll need to prepare your course. See Transition an active course or Transition a copy of a previous course for instructions.

Follow the instructions for your Blackboard version.
Blackboard Original

- Enter your Blackboard course as an instructor.
- If prompted, choose to use the Original course view. Your selection is permanent and can't be undone.
- If needed, add a content area or item for Revel and eText or Pearson. See Blackboard Help for instructions.
- Select the content area. Follow the instructions for your integration.
Revel and eText integration
Select Partner Content and then Content Market.
Select the Pearson Revel icon.
Choose the folder that will contain the Pearson link and select Submit.
Access Pearson integration
Select Tools, More Tools, and then Access Pearson.
Next, we recommend you name the link Access Pearson.
- Agree to any authorization requests.
- Complete any other fields and then select Submit.
- In the content area, select the Access Pearson link.

- Next, add or copy Revel or eText content to your Blackboard course.
Blackboard Ultra

- Enter your Blackboard course as an instructor.
- If prompted, choose to use the Ultra course view. Your selection is permanent and can't be undone.
- Under Books & Tools, select View course & institution tools.
- Choose your integration:
- Access Pearson integration: Under Available tools, select Access Pearson.
- Pearson Revel and eText integration: Select Browse all course tools under Can't find what you need.
Then select Pearson Revel under Select your content provider.
- Access Pearson integration: Under Available tools, select Access Pearson.
- If prompted, select Open Pearson.
- Next, add or copy Revel or eText content to your Blackboard course.

- Enter your Brightspace course as an instructor.
- Select Content from the banner at the top of the page or under Site Resources.

Select Add a module under Table of Contents.
- Enter a module name.
- Under Add Existing Activities, select External Learning Tools.
- Select the Pearson Revel and eText or Access Pearson tool your admin created.
If you don't see the tool you want, contact your system administrator. Provide the administration guide for the Revel and eText or Access Pearson integrations.
- Under Content Resources, select the Revel and eText or Access Pearson link in the module. (Or select the link in a module under Content Browser from the Course Home.)

- If prompted, select Open Pearson.
- Next, add or copy Revel or eText content to your Brightspace course.

- Enter your Canvas course as an instructor.
- Select Settings from the bottom of the left navigation.
- Select Navigation.
- Go to Pearson or Access Pearson under Drag items here to hide them from students. For example:

If you don't see the right link, contact your system administrator to add the app.
- Drag Pearson (for the Revel and eText integration) or Access Pearson (for the Access Pearson integration) into the course navigation list above.

Change the link's location anytime.
- Select Save.
- Select Pearson or Access Pearson in course navigation.

- If prompted, select Open Pearson.
- Next, add or copy Revel or eText content to your Canvas course.

Grades: To avoid problems with grades, add only one Revel and eText or Access Pearson link to your Moodle course.
- Enter your Moodle course as an instructor.
- Select Turn editing on.
- Go to the area where you want to add the Revel and eText or Access Pearson link and select Add an activity or resource.

Select External Tool.
- Enter an activity name.
- From the Preconfigured Tool list, select Pearson Revel and eText or Access Pearson.

- Revel and eText integration only: Under Privacy, make sure the Accept grades from the tool is checked. (Only one external tool can have this selected.)
- Select Save and return to course.
- Select the Revel and eText or Access Pearson link. For example:

- Next, add or copy Revel or eText content to your Moodle course.

Sakai only works with the Access Pearson integration. You can add the Access Pearson tool if you have the right permissions. If not, check with your Sakai system administrator.

Enter your Sakai course as an instructor.

Select Site Info in the left navigation.

Choose the Manage Tools tab.

Scroll down and expand the External Tools section.

Select the Access Pearson tool.
Don't see this option? Check with your system administrator.
- Select Continue.
- Select Finish to confirm.
- Select Access Pearson in the left navigation.

Select Open Pearson.

Next, add or copy Revel or eText content to your Sakai course.

Sakai only works with the Access Pearson integration. Your Schoology system administrator adds the Access Pearson link to Schoology. Contact your administrator if you don't see the link.

- Add or copy Revel or eText content to your Schoology course.
