The Toolkit

The Toolkit is in the composing space, to the right of the text editor, and has the following components:

Common Errors is a preloaded list of error notations with links to Resource topics. You select the error you want, review its notation and Resource links, and insert it into the student's document. See Insert a Common Error notation for more information.

My Comments provides you with the opportunity to create and save comments that you use frequently. You can also create links to Resource topics that are relevant to the comment. For example, you could write a comment on comma splices and add a link to the topic on comma splices in Resources, thus providing contextual remediation (instruction, multimedia, and exercises) for the student. The MyLab saves your comments, and they are available anytime you review a submission in the composing space in any course, from semester to semester.

With My Audio Comment you can record a comment, up to five minutes in length, for a student's composition or collaboration assignment. The MyLab automatically attaches the comment to the student's submission, and the student can play back your comment from the assignment's draft history. See Audio commenting for more information.
