Import pre-built assignments by copying sample assignments

Import pre-built assignments using the Copy and Assign Sample Assignments wizard.

• Sample homework is only available to students if you copy and assign it.
• Sample tests and quizzes are automatically available to your students unless you hide them. Students' results on sample tests and quizzes update their Study Plans, but do not affect their score in your course.
• Interactive lab assignments are available in some courses and can be found at the bottom of the assignment list.

To open the Copy and Assign Sample Assignments wizard:

1. In the Assignment Manager, select Create > Import pre-built assignments.
2. On step 1, the Start tab, choose Yes or No to automatically assign due dates. You can edit start and due dates later.
3. Select Next.
4. On step 2, the Select Assignments tab, use the filters view assignments by type and chapter.
   • MyLab IT pre-built assignments in Capstone chapters include Credly badges.
   • Mastering pre-built assignments sometimes include interactive labs.
5. In the Copy column, select the check boxes for the assignments to copy.
6. Select Next.
7. On step 3, the Assign Due Dates tab, specify how automatic due dates are assigned.
8. Select Next.
9. On step 4, the Confirmation tab:
   • In the Assign column, select the check boxes for the assignments to assign.
   • Optionally change assignment names.
   • Optionally change the start or due dates for assignments.
10. Select Copy.

Credly badges

Some MyLab IT NextGen Office 2021 courses have pre-built assignments that offer Credly badges. Credly badges confirm and recognize a learning achievement. If a student achieves the required score, a badge icon shows on the student Results page.

Students receive an email with instructions to accept their badge.

To find pre-built assignments that offer a Credly badge, look for the Credly wording or indicator. Or, ask your sales representative.
