Create assignments by copying sample assignments
Updated 26 Jan 2024
In most courses, you can import pre-built assignments using the Copy and Assign Sample Assignments wizard. Sample homework is available to students only if you copy and assign it. Sample tests and quizzes are available to your students unless you hide them. Students' results on sample tests and quizzes update their Study Plans, but do not affect their score in your course.
Copy and assign multiple sample assignments
- Open the Copy and Assign Sample Assignments wizard:
- In the new Assignment Manager, select Create > Import pre-built assignments.
- In the classic Assignment Manager, select Create Assignment > Copy and Assign Sample Assignments.

- On step 2, the Select Assignments tab, select the assignments.
Select Copy in the table header to select all assignments. Use the filters above the list to view assignments by category and chapter.
- On step 3, the Assign Due Dates tab, optionally specify how automatic due dates are assigned.
- On step 4, the Confirmation tab:
- Select Assign in the table header to assign all the assignments or select the checkbox to assign individual assignments.

- Optionally change the start or due dates for assignments.
Copy individual sample assignments
