View results for individual students
You can open an instructor view of a student's Results page to review the student's work, change assignment scores, and email the student. You also can review the student's Study Plan work.
View results
To open a student's Results page, select the student's name from most gradebook pages.
On this page, you can:
- Optionally select Show Overall Score to see the student's view of their progress in your course so far. Show Calculation to see how the score was calculated. (You can hide overall score information from students. See Set scoring options.)
- Optionally select All Assignments to filter the assignments by category.
If you use them, select Companion Study Plans to see how many sections or objectives the student mastered, their score, and how long they worked on the companion Study Plan.
- Optionally select Study Plan Results to see the student's Study Plan Progress page.
- Select Proficiency to see the student's proficiency score on Adaptive Diagnostic tests and view an item analysis of the student's performance on the questions. (See View results on adaptive diagnostic tests.)
- Select Review to view the student's work.
- See student scores on assignments or other score details.
Manage assignment results from the Actions menu
You can select:
- Email Student to send comments to the student. You also can select the student's name at the top of the page.
- Review to see the student's work and optionally add comments (in most courses).
- Learning Catalytics to open the Learning Catalytics gradebook.
- Item Analysis to quickly view the student's performance on each question in an assignment.
A more detailed item analysis is available from your gradebook.
- Change Score to submit a score or change the points awarded.
You cannot change points when your gradebook is synchronized with your learning management system gradebook or when the assignment is done offline.
- Print to print the assignment with the student's answers and the correct answers.
- Settings per Student to change the assignment settings, such as time limit or due date, for this student.
- Omit/Include to prevent the student's result from counting towards their average or to restore the result.
- Delete to permanently remove the result.
- Submit Score to enter a score for an assignment that was not done or is incomplete.
- Enable Access to let the student resume a blocked test or quiz.
- Dismiss/Reapply Prereq to dismiss the prerequisite for the assignment or restore it.
- Grade essay to read and manually grade an essay assignment.
