Set scoring options

Choose how scores are calculated and displayed. These settings also apply to any custom categories.

In your Gradebook, select More Tools > Set Scoring Options to open the Set Scoring Options page.

Using an LMS? When you sync your MyLab Gradebook with your learning management sytem gradebook, only Attempts to Include is available. Specify other scoring options using your Blackboard, Canvas, D2L Brightspace, Moodle, Sakai, or Schoology gradebook.

You can choose:

Attempts to include: When you allow more than one attempt on tests or quizzes, select which attempts to use to calculate scores.
Average score and All scores are not available when you sync your MyLab Gradebook with you learning management system gradebook.
Score Calculations: Select Cumulative performance to include all assignments in the average score calculations and assign zero scores to work not yet done.
Regardless of your selection, the lowest-scoring assignment is used when you drop the lowest score.
Score Display: Select Points to display overall scores and category scores as points earned/total points available.
Instructor's Scores: Select Include to add the instructor to the list of active students and include their scores in class averages.
Students' Scores: Choose how scores are displayed to students on their Home and Results pages. You also can change the name of Overall Score when displayed to students.
