Create or copy tests
Updated 20 May 2024
Use the Test wizard to create or copy tests.
You can add up to 15 tests to your program.
Each test has a weight of 10 points, but you can change the test weight in your gradebook.
See Place students for details on using test results to evaluate readiness and assign courses.
Create a new test
- From the Test Manager, select Create Test.
- In step 1, enter a name for your test.
- In step 2, choose content to include in your test.
- In step 3, choose options for proctoring, scoring, review, and other settings.
See Test settings for details.
Copy a test in your program
You can copy a test that you or another instructor created for your program.
- From list of tests in the Test Manager, select Actions > Copy for the test.
- In step 1, enter a name for your test.
- In step 2, choose content to include in your test.
- In step 3, choose options for proctoring, scoring, review, and other settings.
See Test settings for details.
If you copy a test with a question that is automatically scored as correct or removed from the test, you can choose whether to include the question in the copied test.
You also can:
- Create an adaptive math test that evaluates students' skill and identifies the best math course for each student to enter.
- Create a test group using prerequisites. Students who get at least the minimum score on the first test in the sequence are immediately presented with the next test in the group until they cannot get the minimum score. They are then placed in a course based on their results.
- Import tests from another program
- Copy and assign practice tests
