Do integrated assignments

In some courses, assignments with media combine MyLab player questions with other content types (such as video, readings, or activities) in a continuous experience.
You can work on tablets or computers, but answering questions on your smartphone is not recommended.
This section illustrates a new integrated assignments experience that is available in select titles. If your course does not have this new experience, use the original assignment method.
Do homework
- Select an assignment to open the integrated assignment overview page.
- Review the assignment information and select Get Started.
You can:
- Hover over
to view the homework due date and time. - Minimize and expand the question list using
at the top of the list. - Select a question, reading, or media item from the list.
Your instructor might require you to work media before answering questions.
When you select a question you see:
- Available question help at the bottom, such as Help me solve this, View an example, and Ask my instructor.
- Your completed questions so far, your score so far, and the number of points in the assignment:
- Read the question and enter your answer.
If needed, a palette of math symbols displays.
Use
to drag and change the sizes of the question and answer areas.
- Select Check answer to see whether your answer is correct. If not, you get a hint and can try again. If you use all your attempts, select Similar question to try again.
- When you finish, select Save to enter your score and close the player.
You can return and continue to work on the assignment up to the due date.
Enter special characters
You can insert special formats and symbols (for example, fractions and square roots) into your answers. Click or tap inside the answer box to open the math palette at the bottom of the player:

Settings for accessibility and the onscreen keyboard for tablets
The Settings icon shows in the top right when you select a question:
Accessibility enables or disables accessibility features. You cannot currently use a screen reader in the player on a tablet.
On-screen keyboard controls the display of the on-screen keyboard when you work on a touch-screen device. The on-screen keyboard offers keys appropriate to your selected language. See Use the on-screen keyboard for details.
Print allows you to print the question or the homework assignment.
About displays version information about the player.
Help center opens the online help for the player.
Tip: If you use Safari or Firefox, your eText reading might not load. As an alternative, use the Chrome browser or enable third-party cookies to open the reading in Safari or Firefox.
To enable third-party cookies in Safari, navigate to Settings > Privacy and select Website tracking: Prevent cross-site tracking.
To enable third-party cookies in Firefox, navigate to Settings > Privacy and Security and select Cookies.
