Use the grapher

When you answer graphing questions, the grapher appears in the player.

Example of the grapher and its tools

To enter your answer:

  1. Optionally select either Click to enlarge graph or the pop-up icon Box-and-arrow icon to pop out the grapher in a new window to enlarge the grapher.
  2. Click or tap in the grapher to open the drawing tools palette.
  3. Use the drawing tools to enter your answer.
  4. Select Save to submit your graph.
Icon Use
Line tool button Line — Draw a line between 2 points.
Image of multipoint curve button Multi-point curve — Draw a curve with multiple points.
Circle tool button Circle — Draw a circle.
The vertical parabola tool button Vertical parabola — Plot a vertical parabola.
The horizontal parabola tool button Horizontal parabola — Plot a horizontal parabola.
The absolute value tool button Absolute value — Graph an absolute value function.
The 3-point quadratic tool button 3-point quadratic — Graph a 3-point quadratic function.
The 4-point cubic tool button 4-point cubic — Graph a 4-point cubic function.
The x-squared tool button X-squared — Graph a basic x-squared function and transform it.
The x-cubed tool button X-cubed — Graph a basic x-cubed function and transform it.
The logarithm tool button Logarithm — Graph a basic logarithmic function and transform it.
The exponential tool button Exponential — Graph a basic exponential function and transform it.
The sine tool button Sine — Graph a basic sine function and transform it.
The cosine tool button Cosine — Graph a basic cosine function and transform it.
The region shading tool button Region shading — Shade an area in your graph.
The solid/dashed line tool button Solid/Dashed line — Change the line of the selected object to solid or dashed.
