Study Skills Topics
Study-skills topics have Review Materials and Activities.
- Review Materials include brief, animated videos that summarize the concept and associated readings, as well as instructional content on each topic.
- Activities comprise the following exercises:
- Self-Assessment activities provide a series of questions to help you think about your behavior in that area.
- Activity exercises require you to write a short answer.
- Interactive Activity exercises are audio-visual exercises that set up a situation and then give you feedback as you work through the activity.
- The Study Skills Scenario is a culminating activity that asks you to read about one student's situation and to apply what you have learned about the topic.
- The Post Test activity is a multiple-choice test. The MyLab displays the results after you complete the test and records the final score in your Gradebook report.
Your instructor may require that you complete or master the other Activities before you have access to the Tests. How this requirement is defined is up to your instructor. It can be based on the completion of a set number of activity sets or it can be based on mastery of the activity sets.
As you work through the Activities, the MyLab tracks your scores. The scores are also available in your Student Detail report.
