Updated 28 Aug 2023

To create a simple true/false question in economics:

  1. When you open the Create Custom Question wizard, choose to start with an empty template.
  2. Select the format Full screen and click Next.
  3. In the Custom Question Builder, enter the following in the question-and-answer area:

If marginal benefit exceeds marginal cost, production is efficient.

  4. On a new line, click True/False under Student Interactions.

A blank true/false table opens in your answer section.

  5. Click the radio button for the correct answer, in this case False.

When you click on the true/false table, the Multiple Choice Options window opens.

  6. In the Multiple Choice Options window:
    • Select The correct answer to indicate that this choice is the right answer. This option is already selected for the False choice, which you clicked in the previous step.
    • Clear Locked in place so that this answer choice changes each time students access the question.

See Manage choices and Set choice properties for information on the options you can select from the Multiple Choice Options window.

  7. Click Save to save your question.

Note: To delete a true/false table, click to the left of the table and press the Delete key or click to the right of the table and press backspace.
