Authoring menu

eText Authoring and Proofing Tool provides the following authoring functions:

• Add and edit metadata information, including the book title, edition, author(s), copyright year, ISBN, Table of Contents levels, Orientation, and cover art
• Check page geometry, create and edit hotspots, and proof hotspots
• Create and edit accordion baskets (Table of Contents, Index, Glossary, and Custom baskets)
• Specify language, view, whiteboard and audio text synch features
• Specify a scheme, highlighting scheme, or Audio Text options for an eText
• Specify file paths for SWFs (multimedia and vector graphics) and assets (flv, image, mp3, swf, url, H264, chromelessurl, VLA, and jazzasset)
• Specify SMS information and publish to the production server
• Upload custom icons for hotspots like audio, email, media etc.
• Export eText content for the online viewing
• Export eText content for offline viewing
• Specify online viewer user interface features

In addition to these proof task functions, from the Authoring menu, you can also view the status of each task and view the history of the eText.
