Access the multimedia textbook

Your course includes an online textbook, which is your complete textbook online in the same layout as the printed version. In the online version, you can click icons in the book margin that link to resources such as audio clips, video clips, animations, practice questions, and other content related to specific textbook pages.

To access the multimedia textbook:

1. Click Chapter Contents on the course menu.
2. Click the chapter and then the section that you want to work in.
3. Click the Multimedia Textbook Section or Multimedia Textbook link (whichever appears) to launch an Adobe Acrobat (PDF) file of that section of the textbook. From the PDF, click the buttons that may appear in the margins (such as Video or You Try It) to link to additional learning aids.

Any online questions you work on by clicking the You Try It buttons in this PDF are not tracked in the Gradebook. To work on tracked exercises, click the Tracked Tutorial Exercises or Tracked End-of-Section Exercises link (whichever appears) in the section folder.

4. Close the window when you finish with the textbook.
