Do practice questions

To access practice questions:

1. Click Chapter Contents on the course menu.
2. Click the chapter you want to work in.
3. Click the section you want to work in.

Untracked practice questions come directly from your textbook. When you work on these questions, your instructor cannot see your work and you do not see your progress on your Results page.

To practice without affecting your grade:

1. Click either the Multimedia Textbook Exercise Set link, the Practice End-of-Section Exercises link, or the Practice Tutorial Exercises link (whichever appears). An Adobe Acrobat file (PDF) of the question set from the textbook is launched.
2. Click the Exercises button in the left margin of the online text. Either a single question will appear in the practice player or a page with a menu of question links will appear.
3. If a single question is launched in the player, complete the question, then close the player window.
4. If a menu of questions appears, click a question link to launch the practice player and work on the question. Return to the menu to choose another question.

When you work on You Try It questions, your instructor cannot see your work and you do not see your progress on your Results page.

To work on You Try It questions without affecting your grade:

1. Click either the Multimedia Textbook or Multimedia Textbook Section link (whichever appears). An Adobe Acrobat file (PDF) of the section from the textbook is launched.
2. Click the You Try It button in the left margin of the text. An question is launched in the practice player.
3. Complete the question, then close the player window.

When you practice in your Study Plan, you see your progress is tracked on your results page. Your instructor decides whether your Study Plan work affects your score in your course.

To practice in your Study Plan:

1. Click the Tracked Tutorial Exercises or the Tracked End-of-Section Exercises link (whichever appears). The Study Plan Overview or Study Plan Performance page appears.
2. Click a question link to launch the practice player and work on the questions. You can work on these same questions from your Study Plan.
