The Results page
The Results page shows your scores on assignments and Study Plan work.
In some courses, you see an orange pushpin and the section or objective you should practice next. Click the linked section or objective name to practice this material.
At the top of the Results page, you may see your school ID number, which is used to record your scores in your instructor's Gradebook. This number is not shown in all courses. If your school ID number is incorrect:
- Click Change to open the Edit ID page.
- Enter your correct ID in the text box.
- Click OK.
Above the table of results, you can use one of these options to change the information displayed in the table or get more information:
- Show Overall Score
- Takes you to the Overall Score page,
which shows your class average to date and your average in each Gradebook
category.
This option does not appear in all courses.
- Past 2 weeks - Shows your results for the past two weeks. This time period is the default view.
- Past month - Shows your results for the past month.
- Entire course to date - Shows your results for the whole course.
- All Assignments - Lets you choose what kinds of assignments are shown in the table. When you first open the Results page, All Assignments is selected, so you see all types of assignments. Use this dropdown list to display only certain types of assignments. For example, select Tests to view only your test results, or select Companion Study Plan to see your results on Study Plan work assigned as a prerequisite to a test or quiz.
Your results are listed in a table. When you first open the Results page, the table shows your assignments submitted in the past two weeks.
For each assignment, you can see:
- The name of the assignment. An icon
appears next to the assignment name to show the type of assignment: H indicates homework, T indicates
a test, Q indicates a quiz, and a triangle icon indicates
an offline assignment. If an assignment name is grayed out, it does not
contribute to your overall score.
Click Review to review the assignment, if your instructor allows it.
You cannot review Dynamic Study Module homework assignments until after you have mastered all the questions in the module.
Quiz Me quizzes do not contribute to your score and you cannot review these quizzes.
- Correct/Total - The number of points you got for correct answers, followed by the total number of points in the assignment. For example, if you got 8 points in a test with 10 points, you would see 8/10. You see -- in this column if your instructor has hidden this information.
- Score - The
percentage score you received on the assignment. You see -- in this column if your instructor has hidden this information.
You see one or more grayed-out scores with low score beneath when your instructor has dropped lowest scores for your class. Your instructor can drop the lowest scores for everyone in the class for tests, quizzes, or homework assignments.
You see a grayed-out asterisk when your instructor changed or omitted your score.
You see an ! (exclamation point) when a test or quiz requires your instructor to submit all or part of the score. Your instructor must score essay questions and sometimes questions that require you to show your work. For Show Work questions, you can click the exclamation point to see your score so far. (See How Show Work questions are graded for details.)
- Time Spent
- The amount of time you spent working on the assignment. The time is
shown as hours, minutes, and seconds, for example, 1h 12m 10s.
Time spent is not tracked on writing assignments.
If you took a test that was interrupted before you submitted it, the word incomplete appears in the Time Spent column for that test. Depending on how your instructor set up the test, you can resume or retake an incomplete test.
- Date Worked - The date and time when your score was last updated in the Gradebook. For example, the date and time when you submitted a test or when your instructor entered a score for an offline assignment.
If your instructor assigns companion Study Plans as prerequisites to a test or quiz, you can choose Companion Study Plan from the All Assignments dropdown list to see your results on this Study Plan work. In this case, the table shows:
- The name of the companion Study Plan for each test or quiz - You can click the name to go to the companion study Plan.
- Mastered/Total - The number of sections or objectives that you mastered, followed by the total number of sections or objectives covered by the companion Study Plan.
- Score - The percentage score you received.
- Time Spent - The amount of time you spent working on the companion Study Plan. The time is shown as hours, minutes, and seconds, for example, 1h 12m 10s.
Click Study Plan at the bottom of the page to go to your Study Plan. The Study Plan shows you where you need to study and provides practice questions you can work on.
