Add tables and matrices
You can enter and format tables and matrices in the Show Work window. You have two ways to create tabular information:
To add an empty table:
- Put your cursor where you want to add the table.
- Click the table button .
- In the Insert Table window, enter the number of rows and columns. You also can optionally specify the table size.
- Click OK to enter the table in the entry box.
To edit a table:
- Use the other table buttons to add columns and rows, delete columns and rows, or delete the entire table. Move your mouse over a button to get a tooltip that shows you what the button does.
- Choose Table > Select to select the entire table or individual rows, columns, or cells.
To add a table or matrix template:
- Put your cursor where you want to add the table or matrix.
- Open the table dropdown list or the matrix dropdown list .
- In the Please Choose Parameters window, enter the number of rows and columns. You also can optionally specify the alignment in the entry box.
- Click OK to enter the table or matrix in the entry box.
Your template includes blue boxes where you can enter the data for your table. For example:
