Do Learning Catalytics assignments
Learning Catalytics is an interactive assignment application that your instructor can use in your course. Depending on your instructor's preferences, you might do assignments ("sessions") in-class while your instructor manages your work or you might work on your own or with teams of other students.
When Learning Catalytics is used in your class, you see the In Class Learning section in your MyLab home page. If your course doesn't use the MyLab home page, you see the Learning Catalytics link in your left menu.
You do Learning Catalytics assignments online using your laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
Before you join a Learning Catalytics session, you need to:
- Click the Learning Catalytics link on your home page or in your left menu to confirm that you have access to Learning Catalytics.
In many courses, access to Learning Catalytics is included when you pay for your online course. If not, you go to a page where you can sign up and pay for access.
- Make sure you know when the session will be available. Your instructor can choose when to start and stop sessions.
To join and work on a session:
- Click the Join Now button on your home page or the assignment name on your Homework and Tests page.
- If you are doing an in-class assignment, you might need to give your seat number. Enter your seat ID or choose your seat from the map.
- Answer each question and click Submit response.
- After you answer all the questions, click Lock your responses to enter your results in your instructor's Gradebook.
You see your score for the session.
- Click Join another session below your score or exit Learning Catalytics.
To review your work in a Learning Catalytics session, go to your Results page and click Review next to the Learning Catalytics assignment name.
For each question, you see your response. If applicable, you also see:
- The correct answer.
- Any explanation provided for the question.
- Whether your response has been manually marked correct.
- Comments about your response from your instructor.
