Use Study Plan Contents
The Study Plan Contents page lets you practice material in your textbook by chapter, section, and (if applicable) objective. The Study Plan Contents page keeps track of your progress, recommends what to work on next, and shows the material you have already mastered.
This page is not available when your course does not offer the Study Plan.
To access the Study Plan Contents page, click View all chapters on your Study Plan Recommendations page. If your instructor has disabled your Study Plan, you see the Study Plan Contents page when you access the Study Plan.
The table on the Study Plan Contents page lists all the chapters, sections, and (if applicable) objectives in your textbook. You can use the buttons above the table to control what is shown:
- Show All - Lists all the contents of your textbook.
- Show What I Need to Study - Lists only the material you have not yet taken a test on.
The Study Plan table follows the table of contents in your textbook. To show the contents of a chapter, click the plus-sign icon beside a name to show its subsections. Clicking the minus-sign icon to collapses the view again.
The table shows you the following information:

- The name of the chapter, section, or objective. Click a section
or objective name to open the Study
Plan Overview, which lists the questions you can practice and lets you take a Quiz Me quiz, if available. The question numbers match your textbook. Click a question number to work on it.
On the right of a chapter, section, or objective, you see information to guide your practice:
- An orange or purple pushpin icon shows the material you are recommended to study next. In some courses, the orange pushpin shows the material you should practice first.
- If you have practiced the material, the Quiz Me link lets you take a short quiz to prove your mastery.
- After you have proved mastery on a test, quiz, or Quiz Me, you see a mastery icon .
- Earned - The number of mastery points you have earned for proving that you mastered the material.
- Possible - The number of mastery points that it's possible to earn for the material.
- Time Spent - The total time you have spent working on the material.
Click Show results that created this study plan link at the bottom of the page to see the homework, assigned tests and quizzes, and practice tests that are used to determine mastery in your Study Plan.
